BAPTISMS

Most Holy Trinity has established the following guidelines:

· Be active and participating registered member for at least 6 months.

· Adult children, 18 years or older, are asked to register separately from their parents, whether sharing one home or not.

Baptism Requirements:

· Parents of child to be baptized need to have an interview with Deacon JR.  (Call the parish office to schedule an appointment.)

· Must show child’s original birth certificate.

· Parents must take pre-baptismal classes

· You may confirm Baptismal date after taking classes, at least 2 weeks prior to the desired Baptismal date.

Children are not allowed during interviews or classes.

Godparents Requirements:

· 16 years of age or older

· Minimum 1, no more than 2 godparents (of the same sex is not  permitted).

· If a couple, they must be married in the Church and provide a copy of the marriage certificate.  They can NOT be living together as an unmarried couple.

·If single, they will need to provide proof of Sacraments (Confirmation)

· Must attend a pre-baptismal class (scheduled when meeting with Deacon JR).

Children are not allowed at the classes or interviews.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION AND REQUIREMENTS

COVENANT OF LOVE

Any couple interested in receiving the Sacrament of Marriage must comply with the following Diocesan requirements in preparation for the sacrament:

1. Initial Interview with Pastor

2. Prenuptial Inquiry & Inventory
(FOCCUS, Declaration of Witness)

3.  Preparation Workshop:  Married Life Skills

4. Preparation Workshop II: God's Plan for a Joy-Filled Marriage

5. Preparation Workshop III: Natural Family Planning

This is 9-month process designed to help couples discern a call to marriage through these stages of preparation, then proceed, of course, to the celebration of marriage itself.

Within this 9-month time, you will collect current certificates of your sacraments (certificates dated within the last 6 months) and will need to turn them in before you can set a wedding date.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM

The following is a requirement that parents need to comply with prior to registering the child in the Religious Education Program.

·  Parent must be a registered and active parishioner for 6 months, & have regular use of envelopes. 

MHT offers a Religious Education Program for grades K-12. (children 7yrs and older eligible to receive sacraments of 1st Eucharist and Confirmation.)

The following are requirements for registering the child in the RE program:

· If your child wants to receive the sacrament of Baptism, Communion and Confirmation, you must present a copy of the birth certificate.

· If your child wants to receive the Sacrament of 1st Eucharist, you must present his/her Baptism Certificate.

· If your child wants to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, you must present the Baptism and 1st Eucharist Certificates.

Sponsor Requirements

Through Canon Law, only one sponsor is liturgically accepted.  He or she must meet the following requirements:

· Active and practicing Catholic (must submit a letter from his/her pastor as being a Catholic in good standing and that he/she qualifies to be a sponsor)

· If single, must be have all 3 Sacraments

· If married, must have sacrament of Marriage

· 16 years or older

· Can not be a parent or step-parent of the child

BAUTIZOS

La Santísima Trinidad ha establecido las siguiente reglas:

· Padres deben ser miembros registrados y participando en la parroquia por lo menos 6 meses

· Hijos adultos, mayores de 18 años, se les pide que se registren separados de sus padres, aunque vivan en el mismo hogar.

Requisitos para Bautizar:

· Padres presentarse a una entrevista y registración (llame a la oficina para obtener fechas de inscription) las registraciones son de 5:00pm a 6:00pm en la oficina parroquial

· Presentar el acta de nacimiento del niño o niña

· Asistir a 2 clases pre-bautismales (Padres deben de registrarse para platicas durante la entrevista)

· Fijar fecha para bautizar después de tomar platicas

No se permiten niños durante las entrevistas/platicas

Requisitos para Padrinos:

· Deben de ser mayor de 16 años de edad

· Mínimo 1 padrino/madrina, no pueden tener mas de 2 padrinos (No se permite 2 padrinos del mismo sexo),

· Si es una pareja deben estar casados por la Iglesia Católica y presentar una copia de su acta de matrimonio, No pueden estar viviendo en unión libre

· Solteros, deben de presentar una copia de su acta de Confirmación.

· Deben de asistir a una clase pre-bautismal.

No se permiten niños en las platicas

REQUISITOS PARA PREPARACION MATRIMONIAL - ALIANZA DE AMOR

Cualquier pareja interesada en recibir el Sacramento de Matrimonio debe de cumplir con los siguientes requisitos de la Diócesis en preparación para el sacramento:

1. Entrevista inicial con el Sacerdote

2. Investigación Prenupcial e Inventario
(FOCCUS, Declaración de Testigo)

3. Clases de Preparación: Adiestramiento Vida
Matrimonial

4. Clase de Preparación II: El Plan de Dios para un
Matrimonio Lleno de Alegría

5. Clase de Preparación III: Planificación Familiar Natural

Este proceso de 9 meses esta diseñado para ayudar a parejas distinguir el llamado al matrimonio atreves de estas etapas de preparación y después seguir, por supuesto, a la celebración del matrimonio. Durante estos 9 meses usted juntara certificados con fecha actual de sus sacramentos (certificados deben de ser otorgados con fecha de los últimos 6 meses) y deben de ser entregados antes de poder fija fecha para la boda.

PROGRAMA DE EDUCACIÓN RELIGIOSA

Los siguientes son requisitos que padres deben de cumplir antes de poder registrar a sus hijos en el Programa de Educación Religiosa.

·  Padres deben de ser feligreses registrados y activos por 6 meses, tener uso regular de sobres.

MHT ofrece un Programa de Educación Religiosa para grados K-12 (niños de 7 años y mayor son elegibles para recibir los sacramentos de Primera Comunión y Confirmación).

Los siguientes son requisitos para registrar a sus hijos en el
programa:

· Si su hijo quiere recibir los sacramentos de Bautizo, Comunión, y Confirmación, debe de presentar una copia de su certificado de nacimiento

· Si su hijo quiere recibir el Sacramento de Primera Comunión, debe de presentar su Certificado de Bautizo

· Si su hijo quiere recibir el Sacramento de Confirmación, debe de presentar los Certificados de Bautizo y Primera Comunión

Requisitos de Padrinos

Atreves de la Ley Canoníca nada mas un padrino es aceptado
litúrgicamente. El o ella debe de cumplir con los siguientes
requisitos:

· Debe de someter una carta de su párroco que indique que es un miembro activo y registrado en su parroquia

· Si es soltero/a debe de tener los 3 Sacramentos

· Si es casado/a debe de tener el sacramento de matrimonio

· Tener 16 años o mayor

· No puede ser padre o padre adoptivo del niño/a
